Friday Wildflower Fix: Tasmanian Waratah

On a misty summer afternoon we went climbing on Mt Wellington, Tasmania.  You can see Ari with his white helmet in the background, getting geared up for the first crack of the day.  The Tasmanian waratah is quite different from the ones we see back home in the Blueys.  More spindly, with periscopes rather than petals.  The waratah is the official state flower of New South Wales.
