Western Arthurs

The Bushwalker Magazine recently published this photo that I took a few years ago, walking across the Western Arthur range in south-west Tasmania. We were standing near Kappa Moraine, shortly before beginning our descent onto the muddy plains after 6 odd days traversing high rocky ridges and scree chutes.

On the horizon you can see Federation Peak, a beautiful alpine summit on the Eastern Arthur range.

    • Yup, Tasmania is an amazing place to adventure in pristine wilderness, absolutely beautiful. I’ve been there over 10 times in the past 8 years and just keep going back for more. If you’re thinking about it, I thoroughly recommend a visit!
